The positive and negative principle of Fresnel lens

1. Positive Fresnel lens:
Light enters from one side, passes through the lens on the other side and is focused to a point or projected in parallel light. The focus is on the other side of the light and is finitely conjugate.
Such lenses are typically designed as collimating mirrors (such as Fresnel lenses for projection, magnifying glasses, etc.) and concentrating mirrors (such as collector-collecting Fresnel lenses for solar energy).
2. Negative Fresnel lens:
Contrary to the positive focus Fresnel lens, the focus and the light are on the same side, usually coated on the surface, used as the first reflective surface.
