In order to make the VR head lens thinner and lighter, some lenses use Fresnel lenses. This lens has the same curvature as a normal lens, but it has different sizes of threads on one side.
But using a Fresnel lens means you need to make some sacrifices. You can make multi-threaded lenses for a sharper image. But the light can't be focused on one point, and the curvature is always incorrect.
Alternatively, you can use Fresnel lenses with fewer threads to help concentrate the beam and improve contrast, but the sharpness of the image is compromised. The VR head-display device utilizes the special characteristics of the Fresnel lens to achieve an effective image display effect in a short distance, and is also the basic working principle of the lens in the mainstream VR head display.
